I think I may have broken my foot.
Put shortly, I tripped. An hour later I can hardly walk for the pain. Given the advanced state of arthritis in my feet, I'm not surprised. Very pissed, but not surprised.

I may be going to the emergency room some time tomorrow. Hope not- perhaps it's merely a sprain and an ice pack will help it.

Naah- I don't believe it either.

Shit happens.

At least I already have crutches in my closet...

3. Got all four under control
This keeps reminding me of the time my old landscaping boss sprained his ankle while playing basketball with his buddies at the Y- he wore a big blue brace and kept his leg propped up on his desk like a trophy for two weeks. Meantime I, with a knee that was disintegrating at the time, was still in the field doing shovel work ten hours a day while feeling constant pain ten times as bad as his silly little sprained ankle.

The little shit may have signed my paycheck, but he knew squat about real pain. Wanna bet he's a republican?

4. I WILL be okay.
It's a minor setback in the greater scheme of things.
