8. LOL!
MrSG works part time in the evening, and on the nights he works, I have to remember which shows are on which channels at which times so that I can tape them for him.

3. Me too! Design shows, Singing shows, dance shows, even cheerleading shows. Love 'em! But I don't go
for Survivor or Big Brother type stuff. Too much silly drama.

9. I have a fantastic four step program for you!
1- Turn the TV OFF.
2- Walk out the front door.
3- Take a nice long walk.
4- Repeat 2 & 3 every time you get the urge to turn it back on.

12. I can't stop watching these shows either.
So I decided to just go with it. It's been very liberating.

There's no reality show so awful that I won't watch it.

14. I have a four-step program:
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 02:13 AM by laconicsax
1: Determine time when undesirable programs are aired
2: Locate outlet where TV is plugged into wall.
3: Identify TV power cable.
4: Prior to time determined in step 1, disconnect TV power cable from wall outlet.

The twelve-step method goes more like this (modified from the AA program):

1: Admit that you are powerless to control your TV viewing habits and your life has become unmanageable.
2: Come to believe that a Power greater than yourself can restore you to sanity.
3: Make a decision to turn your will and your life over to the care of God as you understand Him (certainly not 'her' or 'it').
4: Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself.
5: Admit to God, to yourself, and to another human being the exact nature of your wrongs.
6: Become entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7: Humbly asked Him (got it, it's a non-corporeal him) to remove your shortcomings.
8: Make a list of all persons you have harmed, and become willing to make amends to them all.
9: Make direct amends to such people wherever possible and when to doing so would injure them or others, send a flower basket.
10: Continue to take personal inventory and promptly admit when you are wrong.
11: Seek through prayer and meditation to improve your conscious contact with God as you understand Him, praying only for knowledge of His Will for you and the power to carry that out.
12: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, you should try to carry this message to reality-TV addicts, and to practice these principles in all your affairs.
