They friged up my phone line, routed the security line to the wrong jack, froze my computer all in two hours.

Fucking incompetent assholes

on a side note after that my wife went to Arby's, they frigged up the order.

Their customer service makes you want to commit murder. I DESPISE them. I go into a rage when I have to call them. They are so incompetent and their commercials are fucking STUPID!

2. It took us thre THREE home visits to get our modem line working
The same tech came coming out. The funny part was that HE has to call into the same (you probably know exactly what I am talking about) "customer service" number that you and I have to.

We are going to switch to FIOS we think.

They all suck though

8. Consider yourself lucky. We couldn't get a tech to show up most of the time.
I wasted so many vacation days waiting for techs who never showed or called.

5. I don't have cable and probably never will (Dish Network, instead)
especially after seeing how the cable companies treat their customers. Comcast is pretty much the worst of the bunch from what I've seen, such as on throttling internet use instead of enabling it.

Read this for an idea of just how bad Comcast is regarding downloading through torrents:
Comcast Throttles BitTorrent Traffic, Seeding Impossible

There was also a Bill Moyers special last year about the Internet and why we are still the slowest country in the world for access. Japan and South Korea get true 100mbps for about $40 a month. We get, at best, 5.95mbps for $50 a month. The "excuse" we hear in this country is that they don't have the bandwidth capability, yet that was what they were supposed to have done when they rebuilt their networks to all fiber. Japan has half the population amount as us and they can get 17 times as much throughput for less cost. What's the problem over here then? (other than greed...)

7. I couldn't agree more! I've never had as many problems with any service as I have with
Comcast. I've never wasted as much time on the phone and waiting for service technicians who never showed as I have with Comcast. It makes my blood boil just thinking of it. We actually decided to not have cable at all rather than deal with Comcast for one minute longer (of course they are the only service in our area). Which sucks because we have terrible reception and we can't have satellite tv in our building. But it just wasn't worth it. We watch Lost online and the rest of the time we use our tv for movies and video games.

9. I haven't had problems with Comcast...fast food, on the other hand...
It never ceases to amaze me how often my order is wrong. Plain hamburger, only ketchup. This, apparently, is food service lingo for "with everything."

11. i hate their customer service too
i've been calling for months to complain that there seems to be a problem with dropped signal *somewhere* other than inside my house.

to satisfy the CS douches and eliminate hardware/user error assumptions on Comcast's side, i took back the (perfectly functional) digital vid box and the cable modem, and swapped them out.

the modem i brought back was busted, never got signal. brought it back again for yet another one that worked fine.

miraculously, several days later, all problems ceased.

guess it takes that new hardware a few days to get broken in and gin up just right. :sarcasm:

i'm not in the mood to go dish, so the digital cable is what it is and i'm stuck with Comcast.

i've already suffered the special hell of DSL through SW Bell (now AT&T), so the cable internet is what it is and i'm stuck with Comcast.

but i will NEVER let them change my POTS land line out for their digital phone service. i have enough problems with internet and cable, that i do not want on my land line. that may be the only thing between me and the world at the next Big One.
