when i get a callback the least they can do is have a radiologist there to read the result when i'm there, not wait another week -- and if they still can't read the damn result, then they need to go ahead and do the more intensive mammogram (forgot what it's called) but they should be able to then see if the bright spot is actually there or an artifact of the procedure
in your case you are not in the clear, but it's OK to sit on your thumbs and wait until AUGUST for another callback?
this seems to verge on malpractice to me
do they not have digital mammography in california, because it seems to me that you should have had answers in minutes, not in freakin' august -- and certainly there should not be waiting a week for "results" when a radiologist should be there to look at them immediately
i would not be taking this as a positive, i would be looking into finding out how i could get a second opinion or a second exam way before august -- and if for some reason this is not possible in california or because of your insurer's practices, then i would want my congresscritter to hear about it
because that just ain't right -- we are led to believe that time is of the essence, and early detection is "all" with breast cancer, but it's OK to sit and wonder until august? for mental health reasons alone, this shouldn't be allowed
what am i missing here?
if you have benign cysts, tell you that you have benign cysts, don't say "recheck in august" without some explanation of why it shouldn't be rechecked immediately, that's just cruel
