I throw myself at the mercy of the court...I sang karaoke last night
I went out last night to celebrate my birthday (it was actually last Saturday but I was sick with the flu) and there was drinking and car bombs...so so many car bombs. So many in fact that around 12:45, I felt it necessary to yell out "who's singing Journey with me?"

To my surprise my best friend said that she would. Next thing I know we are both staggering toward the DJ stand and he was setting up Don't Stop Believin' for us...well I think you know what happened next. Needless to say we won't be Steve Perry's understudies any time soon.

I've never sung karaoke before and quite frankly I feel a little dirty about it today. I can't believe that I had the balls to get up in front of a crowded bar and absolutely murder a song. Apparently pictures even exist document this occasion...I'm thinking I don't want to see them.

Just remember folks, friends don't let friends drink and sing!

But hey it could be worse...I could be hungover today...which I'm not!

2. lol...I sorta see this place as my confessional
I have to be absolved for my sins against music. Don't know if I would have the courage to admit this to someone face to face :P

4. I suppose nothing...if you have an ounce of talent...which I do not...
What I did last night was a sin against music. I'm more surprised at myself for having the courage to do something that I wouldn't do sober for a million dollars :)

5. Ah, talent schmalent...
it's FUN! :D

But yeah... I can't imagine doing it sober, either. Someday I'll try it myself. :)

6. Karaoke is fun.
I usually like songs that are kitschy and more about the performer than the song. I sang "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show" by Neil Diamond.
