2. It would be nice to be able to get a good night's rest without the use
of pharmaceuticals (ie Tylenol PM). dammit all.

3. Another "fur person" victim
The cat nudged me and the dog started woofing because the water bowls were empty (premature heat wave). Having to get up and fill them left me wide awake.

{sigh}

And it isn't even summer yet. I gotta get bigger bowls.

4. Up early and pondering how to spend the rest of the day
So far the agenda is a visit to the library and the possibility of checking out local barbecue joints that I've never tried.

Do I know how to party or what?

5. About as much as I do
I have Wheezy's new bestseller, and my "Tai Chi for Geezers" DVD and the four-volume "Baldur's Gate" CD arrived yesterday from eBay. Those should keep me out of mischief for a bit. We're having a preview of summer here this weekend, and anything that doesn't involve going outdoors sounds fine.

6. Rain in the forecast so I'll probably spend most of the day indoors
I went hiking last weekend and it was quite nice. We left the beer at home though so we wouldn't get in trouble with park rangers

7. What a beautiful view
Reminds me of a park nearby that I went hiking at a few years back. Where is that? Reminds me of the billy goat trail on the C+O canal leading to Great Falls....

8. Hanging Rock State Park, about 30 miles NE of Winston-Salem
I love the C&O but have never been there with a camera.

Too bad they frown on folks taking refreshing dips in the Potomac.
