My mom and me: genetics gone awry.
This picture made me laugh. Alot. I guess I had no perception of how we look standing next to each other. I can't decide if I look like a freakish Amazon woman or she looks like a midget.

8. That's a cute picture
All my family is tall, except me, a paltry 5'4 (and three quarters dammit)And my grandmother, who barely topped 5 ft. My mom is taller than me, my sister, my aunt, my biological daughter and even my step-daughters are at least my height.
Damn Genetics.

11. omg!
that's a great pic!

My daughter is 16 months (almost 17 mos) and is already half as tall as I am (I'm 4'11"). She won't be super tall, but I expect by the time she's about 10 she'll be at least as tall as me. Not looking forward to that!

12. That's what Ruby and I will look like in a few years
Her paternal grandmother is 5'11", no one on that side of the family is shorter.

I'm 5' and ONE HALF INCH, dammit. That half counts. x(

13. Same with my son and I
I am 4'11"..my son is 6'1"..daughter 5'3". They were taller than me at the age of 11. I am the shortest out of 7 children. Both parents of average height. We may be small... but we are mighty lol

14. Like my twin sister and me
people get so confused because they think all same-sex twins are identical. Uh, no. We don't even look like we're related in any way.

15. There was a set of twin girls at my school.
One was tall and blonde and the other was short and brunette.

16. From one "Freakish" Amazon to another...
I'm 6'1" and have been that height since 1969 when I was 14. But my mom was 5'8" which was considered very tall when she was growing up.

Most tall women I meet now love being their height, which makes me happy cuz I hated it when I was young. But like you, I have no idea how the rest of the world perceives me until I take a pic with an average or short person!

We look like Great Danes who got lost among toy poodles!
