woot.. i finished up my short film

i got inspired last night and stayed up and finished it :woohoo:

i'm one of those people that when i get inspired to do something, i'll sit down and do it right then until i finish. i've stayed up many a nights working on videos, lol.

1. What's it about? Did you shoot it on your Super 8?

4. i filmed it on my baby

canon XL-A1. it is a documentary short. i'll be posting it within the next few days. i just have to get my attorneys(aka, mom and dad, lol) to draw up a music license paper for the song used in it.

6. Nice. I wish I had the time and access to resources to do shit like that.

Though my filmmaking plans, whenever I do have time and resources, will be more along the lines of fictional stuff, haha.

8. yeah, my savings account that i started at 14 that was supposed to be my "car fund"

turned into my "documentary fund." i've taken some clips from the interviews i've done for the documentary and put together this short(2min) film for a contest. it is only 2 minutes so there isn't a lot of time to get the point across, but i think i managed to do it. ;)

i do want to do fictional films as well. i've got a lot of ideas in my head, but no resources to back them up. i've been lucky to get as much done with the documentary as i've been able to, although now I'm out of money and trying to find resources to finish it up.

because I went long, long ago. He's a freshmman.

His grades in high school were mediocre at best. I'd say a C average. But his SAT scores were great. And, more importantly, he had several films that were cute as hell.

So the film school wanted him. The university was meh.

So, it was a compromise. They let him into a program called general studies. It's for kids the school wants, but it wants them to show they are more academically sound. So if he maintains a B average this year, he automatically gets into the film school next year. Or this summer actually.

If you have any trouble getting in, and you really want to go there, inquire about the general studies program.
