The wonder that is our modern technology.
We have orbiting satelites that send information all over the planet. You can drive and have a computer tell you where you are and how to go where you want.

Yesterday FedEx came at 9am to my apartment and delivered a replacement phone from Verizon. The address was correct, but the apartment number was wrong. I was expecting another FedEx from Autodesk. This one did not show up, and the tracking screen said there was a problem with the address. I called and they said that the apartment number was missing. At 6:30pm I drove down to the FedEx facility to get the package. Address completely correct. The driver handed it to me and said he could not find my apartment COMPLEX. The entire complex was a problem to find. The first delivery driver not only found it, but found the right apartment even though it was wrong.

Strange thing this technology.

1. Technology doesn't make much of a difference if the person using it is a moron.

2. It just is so funny sometimes. "I could not find your entire complex."

3. The wonder is that with our modern technology.....
we all still have to work at least 8 hours a day (if we're lucky enough to have a job, that is).

The late Abby Hoffman (I think) asked decades ago, "Why isn't our goal with technology to create a world where no one has to work for a living?" Why indeed?
