A cat is trying to adopt me
Some of you may recall me writing about a neighborhood cat that I thought might have been abandoned. Well it turns out that he's not been treated too badly. Some folks around here let him in their homes when it gets real cold and everybody takes turns feeding him. He appears to be in good health and he's not starving.

But the little guy has taken up hanging around my sliding glass door which is right off of where I sit at my computer. He looks in at me and cries to be let in. I'm getting to the point where I'm beginning to give in. He's been working on me for the past couple of weekends, but always seems to catch me after I've had a few beers. So being the responsible citizen that I am, I can't go anywhere today to hook him up with some food and a litter box. We'll see if he's out there tomorrow.

3. LOL! Maybe I'm in denial.
The little guy has got bad timing, though. But I don't know if he'd like living with me or not. He'd have to become an indoor cat.

6. They're safer indoors.
If you can keep him happy there, bless you.

2. My dear Droopy!
Resistance is futile!

You have already been assimilated, I think...

Say hello to your new kitty!

He sounds like a little love...

7. You have a new family member. You have no obvious way out of the
situation. Give in.

8. Sounds like you are the chosen one.
That's how it happened with me. Lucy showed up one day seven years ago and never left.

Welcome to the club. :toast:

The Nashville Cat appeared on my doorstep fifteen years ago. She's still at my side today.

10. That's how my first cat adopted me 14 years ago.
She wouldn't go away, and on a frigid winter night I brought her in. She's been here since then and turned out to be a good pet.

Resistance is futile. You have been adopted. Might as well come up with a name for him, because he isn't going anywhere. :)

12. Cats who adopt you always turn out to be the best of friends.
My guy, Stinker, turned up when it was way below zero. That was 8 years ago. He's now parked directly across from the pellet stove enjoying the life of a lottery winner cat. I love him to bits.
