I'm just kidding: I'm 53 and if I never go to another night club or late-night rock concert I promise I won't cry! It's nice to have that party-part of life over. At this point in time, I just like getting up early, soaking up as much daylight as possible, then hunkering down at home by 6 or 7 pm.

Pretty soon it's gonna be the "Early Bird Specials" for us, right? And not because we've stayed up all night.

Seems to me when we're young we hook up because we want sex, and when we're real old, we hook up so that we don't end up staying in the house for a week with no one to find us after we're dead:rofl:

Just a forever single girl here whose greatest desire was to have *something* someday that felt like a "family" (even if it's only one other person, that would be more than enough). I've spent way too much time on internet dating sites over the past ten years or so, and every man out there has "looking for a woman between the ages of 24-40" listed, even if he's older than my father! Each new birthday puts me further outside the "acceptable" range, so that lifelong dream is slowly dying. My age is also starting to be an issue in my work too. I just wish that society was just a little less harsh on women for committing the sin of growing older. :-(

Maybe I should embrace the role of crazy cat lady and just be done with it, lol! Oh well, could be worse. And besides, we may end up with a Dem in office by next year, so there's at least one thing to look forward to!
