Cat purrsons - does your cat lie like this?
This is so cute - in my 21 years of living with cats, I've never had a cat who did this with his back paws:

2. That is adorable!!

I've seen my kitties do that very occasionally, but not as a habit.

3. He does it probably 75% of the time
Either both legs or one leg stretched out behind him. I wish I were that limber!

5. Yes, it is
He's certainly becoming a personality in his own right. Mr. DTBK is disappointed that he's not really a lapcat like Simba was. He may become one someday, but on his terms, not ours!

7. One of mine is kinda double jointed. She looks like that all the time and does
it with her front paws too. I cannot quite figure out exactly how she is so differently jointed but it is really weird.

10. 8 months on Tuesday
I keep asking him if he's a big kitten or a little cat - I'm inclined to go with the latter! He's a unique little guy, that's for sure.

11. Definitely a unique pose!

I had a dog who used to do that when he was sitting in the grass (we always said he was "cooling himself off"), but I haven't seen a cat do it. My parents have a cat who sleeps on his back with his paws out in front of him, though, which is pretty funny looking!

ON EDIT: Kept messing up on my subject line!

12. I used to have a cat who would do that
Because he was very furry, I always though he did it to cool his belly.

My current male prefers the sprawled on the back with feetsies in the air position.

13. My late great Dudley-Bob used to do that.
We referred to it as his "Superman" position.

Our Trouble does that, we think it is quite adorable. I have never had another cat who did it. We joke that she is part rabbit.
