8. Organic rice cereal* and soymilk, with a hint of agave nectar.
*Today's Random Vegan Fact: Most popular brands of cereal contain vitamin D3, which is derived from animal sources (usually lanolin, sometimes fish) and therefore is not vegan. There are plenty of vegan cereals, but it's just another thing we have to look out for.

29. I love to spin the dough

Strawberry Spinach salad with balsamic and blue cheese is a classic Italian summer salad. I skip the spinach and just have the berries, cheese and vinegar as a summer evening snack.

But then you can't beat strawbs and whipped cream either. Enjoy:9

54. rice, lamb, and who knows what else
Today was the Manchester St Patrick's Parade. Really.

We usually hold the parade a week after everyone else, which lets marching units from around New England participate. We have the 2nd biggest parade in New England, after South Boston.

This year, Easter fell on the usual date, so it was pushed back a week. It actually worked out well, since the weather was nice.

Just the basics - taters and carrots and peas and corn. If I see anything else I might like, I'll fling that into the pot, too.

Cordelia was the name of a lady who meant a lot to me, and I was thinking of her the day I joined DU for some reason. Helps keep her memory alive, for me anyway.

And, a big thank you for the welcome. I really do enjoy reading your posts. Must admit I am a bit of a lurker.
