"Leaf blowers." Tool of Satan, or only a Nightmare of Torture?

My fucking asshole next-door neighbor has been out there with that fucking horrible thing for OVER SEVEN FUCKING HOURS today.

Please, please, I beg you as my stalwart DU friends, give me ONE reason why I shouldn't go over there right now and ram the fucking snout of that fucking thing down his throat.

Get a fucking RAKE, would you?

7. I fucking HATE leaf blowers.

EVERYONE around here uses one. I can do the same goddamned thing they're doing with a rake or two in half the time it takes them to blow all of their leaves to their front yard. The kicker is, I get exercise and they get polluted.

I think there is a psychological need or sense of power to wave that noisy wand around (maybe it's a phallic related issue) so excessively. Yes, use a rake or broom, get some exercise. Okay for a limited time. Reminds me of a story I once read of a leaf blower nut that would use it in the middle of the night just to annoy the neighbors - sitting in the trunk of his car with the wife driving up and down the driveway!

Drain the gas, replace with straight unleaded gas. (No premix oil.)

I bet he never checks the *color* of the gas, only that it has some.
