Will some *please* explain dogs?
Mine seems baffled by the concept of a back door left a half-inch ajar when she goes outside for her nightly ablutions. It's so she can get back inside without waking up the whole neighborhood (I live in a gated, fenced complex with very little traffic, so she's perfectly safe). No I have to stand in the doorway and watch until she's finished, or else she barks to be let back in.

And this morning I discovered she had somehow managed to a) open my oven door b) extract the cold left-over pizza I was saving for breakfast c) close the door again and d) run into the living room with her prize proudly in her mouth.

It sounded rather crunchy as she devoured it, so I probably would thrown it out it anyway.

Do they make pizza-flavored dog food? There's a real niche market there.

1. Maybe you should keep some pizza on the other side of the door....
so she can see the reward for coming back in!

She sounds very resourceful when there is something in it for her! LOL

:hi:

2. ROFL!
Judy, you have one VERY intelligent dog there.

I'm just picturing her pulling the pizza out of the oven.

Ahem- back to business,

My oh-so-very-spoiled-kitties want me to stand right next
to the catdoor when they go out to take care of business
after dark!

Do I make it safer?

I dunno---

3. Doors were tricky for my dog also.
It took her awhile to figure out she could open a slightly opened door. Now I have to remember to shut the door good when I want her to stay on the other side.
