3. oh! not like in the song. thanks though. I was in that situation for almost a decade.

Exquisitely awful.

Now, though, it's a literal stranger/houseguest. My mother has been very ill, near death, but is doing better now. She's in a nursing facility near my house and one of her old friends has come to visit with her regularly and help her. She's staying at my house. I hardly know her and she's as timid as a mouse. We keep almost exactly opposite hours. It's really very weird. I keep forgetting she's here at all until I turn a corner and WHOA! she scares the crap out of me.
