1. oh god yes
that whiney voice I just want to slap the hell out of him. I *think* he might do a voice in Horton Hears a Who and no matter how much I love good old Doc Seuss I can't watch the movie if I have to hear Schwimmer's fucking voice. Also, he's directing a movie with the guy from Sean of the Dead and I thought it looked sort of interesting but when I found out who the director was it ruined the whole concept for me.

4. I'm so glad I'm not alone in this!
I was always a Seinfeld person instead of Friends - I found Friends unwatchable, 95% due to his annoying presence. Yoiks! :yoiks:

9. Everyone on Friends annoyed the shit out of me.
I dated a girl a couple years ago who would always make me watch it when we would hang out at her place and I came to loathe those people immensely.

where he got his just desserts.

until I watched BoB and Schwimmer got his comeuppance.

11. I kind of like him.
First...on an extremely superficial level, I think he's sort of hot. There you go.

Also...he runs a theater company here in Chicago, the Lookingglass Theater. Anyone who helps to maintain theater is ok in my book.

12. he's also heavily involved in
ending violence against women - at least he was a couple of years ago. That alone gets a  in my book.

I've never seen him in anything other than Friends - I hated the character, but that doesn't necessarily make him a bad actor.

18. He actually started the Lookingglass Theatre if I can recall
and I agree, unlike a lot of teevee stars, he was pretty upfront that he wouldn't have a real career after Friends so he used his celebrity while he had it to start the theatre and to become very involved in ending domestic abuse.

I never watched Friends and don't have any opinion of him as an actor but his post-Friends activities are first class.

19. Aw c'mon....he's directed Run Fatboy Run
which stars Simon Pegg and if it's got Simon Pegg, it can't be bad, ergo DS has to be ok. Also written by Simon Pegg and Michael Ian Black (of various fame, but most importantly MTV's The State)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425413/

Actually, I never liked Friends that much - or at least Monica and Rachel, but I do like his voice over stuff and his work off of TV.

He gets a  from me, but I will also disclose that I actually like Ben Affleck, so I know I am in the vast minority here.

29. Bad acting + annoying character = Huge fortune...
...plus the delusion that you can direct feature films. That's showbiz, folks. And we're gonna have David with us for years to come. I assume he's made at least $100 million from "Friends," if not much, much more, so he won't go away any time soon. He's Hollywood royalty because he whined so pathetically for several years on one of the biggest TV shows ever.
