Small craft advisory - red flag.

We are in safe harbor. Anchored and swinging.

Swinging on the hook. Every time I go topside, I have a new perspective.

I know I am pointing North when I see that soft, red glow in the distance. LA. Looks like Armageddon. Going back there tomorrow. Gotta go to Trader Joes.

But west, south, east? All dark. Except for the stars. I would stay here forever.

Your description brought to my mind a memory of flying in a small plane from Boston to Nantucket at night through blue-blackness, no moonlight, only the twinkling stars and planets above and the twinkling boat lights below. I really felt like we were traveling through outer space.
