i got the job

i start training on wednesday for an inbound customer service position at a call center. i still have to do the pee test, but i'm not too concerned about that.

i'm going to keep looking, but a job is a job.

4. How far do you have be able to pee in order to get the job?

I might be able to shoot five feet if I have been drinking beer. Geez, the hoops they make you jump through just to get a job.

I've never done drugs in my life but I had trouble getting hired TWICE because of those things. Once because they required me to take the test within 24 hours of my interview... but neglected to mention that the testing place closed at 4. And I was in summer school at the time, so I didn't even get home from school until 3. And the second time was because somebody screwed up on the paperwork and never sent my results to the place I was to be hired at... and because of the beauracracy, there was only ONE person who worked there who was allowed to call and request the results.

And that person was on vacation.

For the next month.

Needless to say, I'd stopped looking and calling back other places because I thought I had a job... so what was supposed to be a summer job to earn money before I went off to college ended up being a slightly-less-than-two-month job before I went off to college instead.

i'm not terribly worried about the test...especially considering some of the people i know who've gotten hired there ;)

13. My first pee test....

Huge major employer.

Sink water turned off so you could not use tap water.

Toilet water colored blue so you couldn't use that.

Temperature strip on the side of the bottle after you were done to make sure it was body temperature.

I was afraid they would have you do the test like some companies...where they have to have some guy observe you actually put your equipment in the bottle. :rofl: I mean....oh nevermind. :rofl: :rofl:

the pay is significantly less than what i was making before, but it should hold me

the ears still hurt, but the nurse practitioner said it's just some general crud that's been going around. she gave me antibiotics and i hope that will knock it out
