"Walking on the beaches, looking at the peaches..."
So I'm listening to The Stranglers on my way to work this morning and this lyric made me think. To what is the singer referring to? Is someone selling peaches at the beach? Is there a peach tree someplace? Why dedicate a song to peaches?

Could someone help me out, here?
