I just won the Congress-Bundestag German exchange student scholarship!
I knew I had been accepted as an alternate about a month ago, but the news came today that I have been officially offered the scholarship. And you can bet your ass I'm taking it! Assuming they can find a host family to tolerate me, I'll be in Germany for my junior year! I'm ecstatic! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Got to tell my German teacher right there. He was pretty happy too.

Are things going any better for you? I know that you were having some pretty hard times

20. Not really.
In German 1 right now, and my teacher recommended that I give this program a shot. He offered to tutor me before I left, and there is a 4 week language camp there before I move in with a host family. I'm hopeful :)

Sadly, I have neither the money nor the academic chops (thanks to some serious physical/mental problems last year) to study overseas. Hoist a beer for me, will ya?
