5. I thought she was OK, but didn't have a realistic chance of winning,
considering who she's up against (I think David Archuleta, David Cook and John whatshisname (the Australian guy) are the contenders this year, while Carly Smithson also has a shot at it. Ramiele is pleasant and can sing, but the others are too much better.

6. I wish Brooke would sing something
by Karla Bonhoff. I agree with you about the top 3 - David Cook is a mature artist so he will win.

7. Her "Let it Be" was great. She's an excellent singer.
I could see her doing some Joni Mitchell songs.

8. Don't know who got kicked off, but I know I never made it on.
Which is a shame. I think everyone in America should idolize me. :)

12. someone who should have been voted off weeks ago
I never understood how someone who gave worse performances than Kristy Lee (1st Beatles week notwithstanding) avoided the bottom three week after week.

Unless KL has signed a deal with the devil or next week is "songs with the word God" in the title, or unless someone has a complete meltdown on stage KLC will be going home next week.

13. Why anyone still competes in this is beyond me
It's clear that after winning your career moves to Florida and waits to die.

14. Not necessarily
Whatever you think of country, Carrie Underwood is a HUGE seller in that field.

15. And Kelly Clarkson's still huge in the pop scene...
and Fantasia's huge on Broadway, not to mention some decent success among some No. 2 and 3s (Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, etc.)

I don't watch the show, but I don't think you can deny that it's made a lot of careers that would never have been made otherwise.
