Woohoo! I haz free trip to Washington DC for 3 dayz!

I iz comin to yur city with Mr. DTBK April 30th-May 4th! He's attending the Society of Biological Psychiatry and APA meetings, while I get to roam around my favorite city! I have to come back before he does because he's sharing a hotel room with his buddy for the APA meeting, but that's okay - it's a free trip (reward miles) and I can enjoy the nation's capital (profaned as it has been for 7 years) for 3 wonderful days!!

I don't know where I'll go yet - I suppose my usual trek to Arlington National Cemetery to JFK and RFK's graves is out of the question - too much walking for my healing back. I'll probably just visit my favorite Smithsonian museums, maybe the National Portrait Gallery, of course Union Station, the Capitol, the Supreme Court and stroll by 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue spewing curses!

I have been visiting since 1992 (before the election - when touring the White House we even "got" to see Old Bat Babs on the lawn), and I never tire of it. I have a t-shirt that says "So much to see - so much for free - Washington DC," and it's so true! I haven't been there for several years and can't wait to immerse myself in history again!

I don't particularly care to see that little snot Snyder, though. And as for the last, my husband is a psychiatric researcher and gives talks periodically for various drug companies, so I really can't say too much about that!
