Poll question: Who's your favorite BSG Character?
Mine is Colonel Tigh. He is a deeply flawed character; the most human of them, even though he may be a Cylon.

4. Admiral Adama;
I don't even have to look at the rest of the poll

Any time I see a reference to Battlestar Ponderosa, I can't help but remember the beginning of one of the Police Squad episodes where Guest Star Lorne Green was shoved out a moving car ;) (The guest star always died in the opening credits! )

7. Yeah, I remember that :)
Some kind of hatch-thingy they attached to the bottom of the plane to get Kurt Russel on board, then it wouldn't detach, so Segal's character had to do it "man"ually. Oops! Major character dead early on

Seems like they may have even used that as a selling point... ;)

Oh, another "guest star" to Police Squad was William Shatner. He was playing his TJ Hooker character and gets blown away

8. This is a tough poll
Do i pick based on which character I like in their role the most?

Or the actor/actress I like the most in their character?

Or do I pick which one I think is hottest?

Even that is a tough question, Boomer is banging, as is Number 6, and don't forget Racetrack...

He's so selfish that it's funny. The hottest is Sam Anders, Cara's husband. Although, most of the guys are easy on the eyes...
except for the Cylon guys. What's up with that? The Cylon ladies are beautiful and the Cylon guys are toads. :wtf:

39. I don't like Sam Anders
Because he's the one who forced Tigh to kill his wife for collaborating with the Cylons, and then he was the first to wimp out and have pangs of guilt during the circles of justice, when they were throwing collaborators out airlock after Exodus II.

That made me mad.

12. It's too hard to pick
Tigh, Starbuck, Adama or Roslin. Although I think that the actress who plays the 6's is incredible in the way she nuances each version so you can usually tell which one she just by the way she's playing it. Actually, it's probably easier to say who I *don't* like : Helo (he's hot but DULL), Boomer (also hot but dull), Callie (cute but wooden) and Dualla (beautiful but...dull).

Then the secondary characters -- Brother Cavil, Doc Cottle, Chief Tyrol, Sam...Oh man I seriously love this show!

I just finished watching the extended version and deleted scenes of Razor and I'm seriously pumped up for tomorrow. Good thing I have no social life.

I have a soft spot for Starbuck. I'm not sure why... guess because she's tough on the outside but just a little girl underneath. And, also, I've always wanted to be tall and strong like she is.

43. No, no, that's from the climax of the third season!
Four characters were revealed as Cylons, including Col. Tigh (plus Roslin's aide Tori, Starbuck's husband Anders and, most surprising, the beloved Chief Tyrol) and yet when the Cylons cut the power to the fleet and jumped into the same space, Tigh (knowing he was a machine and a traitor, mind you) dressed down the other new Cylons and reminded them of their duties to the fleet and the human race. His simple speech made my hair stand on end and my eyes prickle: A drunk, a Cylon, what he most loathed, he still hesitated not at all to perform his duties.

27. It's really not fair to pick an favorite but Baltar
is perhaps the most complex and critical or rather central to the whole show plotline I think.

But they all have interesting, admirable and less-than-admirable traits, in short all interesting human characters. That's why I was a bit disappointed at first to learn than some of the supporting characters that I liked so much because of their 'humanity' were humanform Cylons. But I guess that's part of the interest of the show, that even the Cylons are 'human' in a way or at least sympathetic to human sensibility in their similarity to humanity.

35. I agree
He made a lot of good points last season about the gaps between the rich and the poor, and he really was not nearly as bad as Roslin and Bill Adama made him seem at the trial.

You can take a quiz here and see which character you are most like. I scored and 88% correlation with Tom Zarak (yikes) and (ahem) Gaius Balter. My next closest was and 84% match to Caprica Six. Mmmm she's yummy. :)

will (has?) collect the few quotes given on the show of Baltar's book and maybe make an attempt at fleshing out the rest. :)

BTW:
What New Battlestar Galactica character are you?
You scored as a Capt. Lee Adama (Apollo)
You have spent your life trying to life up to and impress your Dad, shame he never seemed to notice. You are a stickler for the rules. But in matters of loyalty and honour you know when they have to be broken.
Capt. Lee Adama (Apollo)
69%
President Laura Roslin
63%
Commander William Adama
63%
CPO Galen Tyrol
50%
Lt. Kara Thrace (Starbuck)
44%
Tom Zarek
38%
Col. Saul Tigh
25%
Dr Gaius Baltar

Lt. Sharon Valerii (Boomer)

In fact there are many excellent characters in the show.

That's why picking only one is so though!

If I went only by the first season, It would be Roslin. First and second, maybe Roslin still. But in the third season Thigh steals the show hands down.
