The Ford 250 pickup truck, with New Hampshire H1387 plates on it, was stolen sometime last night or early this morning from the patrol foreman's West Dummer home, said Bill Boynton, DOT public information officer.
Decals of the DOT's distinctive green and white logo, featuring the Old Man of the Mountain inside the "O," were also affixed to the truck.
Boynton did not know the year the truck was manufactured year but said it was "fairly new." The keys were inside the truck, although Boynton said he does not know if they were in the ignition, inside the console or under the seat
Boynton is hopeful the truck will be recovered.
"It should be highly recognizable," he said.
