11. Mañana, Mañana, Mañana,

Saturday will be a Sad-turd-day for me; the day I hunker down and do my taxes.

It may be a bitter-sweet day; I got laid off two years ago and therefore forced, yes forced, to exercise stock options I had held for nearly ten years. Since then, the market has tanked. If I had not been laid off, I would still hold those options, and they would now be totally worthless. Instead, my income for last year doubled.

The bitter part of that sweet deal is that I may not have withheld enough in taxes, so I could get taken to the cleaners by Uncle Sugar.

Oh, well, the worst thing that can happen is that I'll have to file quarterly returns for a year as punishment.

but I woke up with a nasty pre-migraine, so I took a bunch of pills instead...I'll do'em Monday...:P

14. I do this every year. I don't know why.

I usually file a day or two before the cut-off. It is so stupid because I always get money back, so I should be the first one in line, but I just hate doing them.
It's kind of like that term paper in college, put it off until the last minute. Maybe I just work better under pressure.
I have no plans for doing them this weekend. I think I'll take a day off of work to get them done, like the 14th looks good. I hate Mondays anyway.

Bottom line...I'll toast to the procrastinators!

15. Yeah, I never updated my address so my old roommate has my W-2 there.

I meant to ask him to send it, but I forgot. :P I can probably get the information on the company website though. Or, if his scanner's working, I can probably have him scan it and email it to me.
