1. I suspect there isn't, my dear KW...
But they happen so damn fast that it's almost impossible to see clearly what's happening...

:hi:

4. I think the triple play and the suicide squeeze are both very exciting
and I would be at a loss to decide which is more exciting. I guess the unassisted TP would probably be the apex of exciting baseball plays.

suicide squeezes. dh is obsessive about scoring when attending games and says he doesn't remember ever scoring a tp, and he has seen a lot of ball games.

23. I saw one. I'd put it over the squeeze just because of the game-changing thrill of it.
A team goes from runners in scoring position with no outs to the dugout on one swing. That's pretty pumped up.

16. Nope
No, wait, safe--safe at second base, this kid really makes things happen out there.

Batter steps up to the plate, here's the pitch--
he's going, and what a jump he's got, he's trying
for third, here's the throw, it's in the dirt--
safe at third! Holy cow, stolen base!

He's taking a pretty big lead out there, almost
daring him to try and pick him off. The pitcher
glance over, winds up, and it's bunted, bunted
down the third base line, the suicide squeeze in on!

Here he comes, squeeze play, it's gonna be close,
here's the throw, there's the play at the plate,
holy cow, I think he's gonna make it!

21. For my money, it's an extra-base hit with the bases loaded
Don't get me wrong — I adore the squeeze, the double steal (Dodgers pulled one on Opening Day) and the hit-and-run, but when somebody cranks one into the gap or down one of the lines with the bases loaded, you've got 13 guys in motion and quite a few possible outcomes.

'Course, there's somethin' to be said for certain home runs, too. :D

I was wrapped up with designing, building, staffing and managing a 20,000-square-foot haunted house. :D

26. Sometimes a good triple can be.
The hit, the run, usually a fielder chasing a ball into a corner or to the wall, the rounding of second, the suspense of whether he'll go for third, of whether the throw will make it. And the play stretches across half the field, while you watch and measure and guess.
