14. Even "Red Dragon" was better because of his performance
Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 09:24 AM by ThinkBlue1966
And frankly, i was overall disappointed with the film adaptation. Loved the book.

15. Loved that one. Just last night, the original "Manhunter" was on TV...
and I watched it with my boyfriend, since he had never seen it. It was so funny, he kept saying "I feel like I've seen this before, but I know I haven't." I told him that he saw the remake "Red Dragon". So tonight, we're going to watch it and compare. :)

16. I prefer the original "Manhunter", for many reasons
IMHO, Norton was probably the only good thing in the remake.

8. He's great, but I really wish he could find a role worthy of his skills
He's been in a bunch of decent movies that were elevated by his performance, but no really great ones other than Fight Club.

I feel the same way about Kevin Spacey.

18. HOLY GEEZ, the scene where he (!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!)
watches Naomi Watts get ready for bed after they spent the evening drinking at the neighbor's house (Mr. Waddington?), then finally decides to go for it. DAY-UM! That definitely got my pulse racing. The next morning when he's trying to sneak out with his bare heinie showing wasn't bad either.

23. Funny you should mention that. My dream cast for the re-make of "Fahrenheit 451" includes Edward
Norton as Montag and Kevin Spacey as Captain Beatty. The rest of the cast is harder to envision. I thought Renee Zellweiger would make a good Mildred. And although she's too old for it now, I think Natalie Portman would have been incredible as Clarice. What do you think?

24. Damn, Norton as Montag would be PERFECT
I understand that Frank Darabont (who's making a new F451 movie) was bummed that he couldn't get his own #1 choice Tom Hanks to do the movie.

But Ed Norton would be great in that role.

10. Let's hear it for Ed Norton!

He's actually one of my favorite actors today. But what I find particularly impressive about him is that for a while, he was having sex with this woman:

12. He absolutely stole the movie 'Primal Fear"
I believe his first major role. Stole every scene from Richard Gere.

13. He made his mark with "Primal Fear."
I saw it in the movies, and had no idea who this guy was. To see this newcomer pull off playing two "personalities" with such precision, I knew this guy would be a force to be reckoned with. When the film was over, I said to my mother "This guy is going to be BIG - mark my words." I think he won an award that year, for "Best New Actor" or something like that.

A brilliant man. Thanks for starting this thread!
