Trevor Linden, the people's deity of Vancouver, has retired. Man, it's even hard to write this, I keep choking up. He came into the league when I was nine, now I'm 29. For the last 20 years he was always someone to look up to. He went from just being a wicked player in his younger days to being a strong leader as he was older. But, the thing about Linden is he is such a class act. The guy does countless stuff for charities and is a true gentleman. He will be missed as one of the best role models for kids in this city.
The fans gave him a very nice send off last night.

1. Not a hockey fan but a good friend named his dog after that guy
So I assume that he's a helluva guy.

3. "...the 2007-08 edition of the Canucks who were outrageously bad Saturday,
attempting to play hockey, or some interpretation of the sport."

Now that's some damn fine journalism...

5. Does this mean that Todd Bertuzzi takes over the role of classiest man in sports?

6. He's a good guy.
Didn't get to see him a ton out here in the East, but enjoyed it when I did. Heard a lot of good things about him off the ice as well.
