2. My one biggie...

"Good Omens."

I cracked up when i read the introduction to the hardcover reprints, where the authors mentioned that the reason the book had sold so well over the past 16 years was that the same people kept buying it over and over.

I admit this freely.

I have purchased at least a dozen copies in that time, and i have managed to 'lose' them all, save for the 2006 hardcover re-release (bought one with each cover).

It happens every time... i start to talk with someone, decide that they would appreciate the irreverent humor of it, and i 'loan' it to them... and i never get it back.

This has happened at least 10 times since i was given a copy back in 1992.
I now keep my hardcovers safe, and generally keep a paperback copy around somewhere with its express purpose being to be given away.

5. Hoise of Leaves is pretty much my favourite book, I think you'd really dig it.
And Three Extremems is an Asian horror anthology. Three short films by three different directors. Miike's "Box" is very, very good. The other two are good, but not great.
