Damn
I can hardly stand it!

I made some brownies tonight with Ghirardelli's brownie mix, and they smell so amazing!

Can't eat them yet...

They have to cool!

Good thing I'm safely upstairs and far away from them!

:9

What yummy thing did you get to eat today?

:hi:

14. Now, THERE's the Cal Peg we all know and love.
One thing about DUers, there's always depth, isn't there?

But this one DUer right here is about to go upstairs and explore the depth of the down-filled comforter under which his wife is keeping warm for him.

Politics be damned; there are more important things.

7. I did chicken stir fry with veggies and a spicy sauce over white rice
I've really been in the mood for Asian food lately; went out to a Chinese place for lunch with a friend the other day, and was really disappointed. Overpriced buffet of overbreaded, pretty tasteless, barely warm food. So I made my own :-)
Chocolate sounds great, though, and other than ice cream, no sweets in the house...so I'm having hot chocolate. It's slowly getting more springlike here, but it's still pretty chilly, and I want to be WARM!

11. Ghirardelli makes brownie mix?
I didn't know that, but oh, boy am I in trouble! There is a 24-hour grocery store only a few blocks from here that probably carries it. Late-night snack time, maybe? Temptation doth rear its ugly head! :9

They did, anyway...

I bought this particular package some years ago...

It contained quite a lot of mix in it, in tightly sealed bags...

I bought it at Costco!

So, since I haven't looked for it in a long time, I'm not sure if they still make it...

I hope they do, because it's the best damn brownie mix I've ever encountered!

Simple to make too!

Being diagnosed with this chronic pain thing has changed my view on a lot of things, though. Not long ago, I'd have seen such a dish as off-limits and unhealthy. I now realize that we're all better off with a little sinfulness, even if it's in pancake form.
