1. that reminds me of a time i was driving through missouri back to illinois

i was in the hammer lane passing a truck when this big ass truck gained on me flashing his beams and getting right up on my ass.

i got around real quick and thought, 'hell yeah, this is motherfucker is the devil!'

you see, most commercial rigs (company drivers) are gps monitored and have feedback systems that pretty much keep them locked in at the speed limit.

this truck, some gravel hauler, with no rear plates was putting the hammer down at at least 90-100 mph.

as soon as he was clear, i stood on the pedal and swooped in behind him. i was cruising between 85-98, drafting behind him, the "ping-ping-ping" of debris flicking of my glass, as we moved cars out of our way.

his horn was a bona fide train horn.

at one point, some lady in volvo got between me and him, and he skirted into the gravel to swirl up a cloud of rocks at her. she moved real quick.

after about 100 miles or so, he signaled to get off at the rest stop, i swerved around him, flashed my lights on and off 2 or three times, and bid adieu and thank you to my phantom trucker.

3. Yeah...If you signal that you as a 4 wheeler 1/2 way know what you are doing....

Like flashing your lights when it is safe for them to enter the lane in front of you after passing, they are much more tolerant of you drafting.
