I want to see "Roger and Me" but yet I don't want to.

My local library has it, yet I fear it's going to be depressing.

Any of you who have seen it, your thoughts?

1. It was uplifting in that "the little guy", Michael Moore, had his say and
gave much better than he got. All of MM movies are powerful in that way.

2. I think it's absolutely riveting.

Its raw, unpolished power is still amazing to me, even after many viewings. If your library has the DVD, be sure to listen to MM's commentary. Yes, it's kind of downbeat, and yet somehow inspiring too. I say don't miss it.

3. It is depressing, but Moore's compassion and humor make it bearable and worth watching.
If you feel sorry for bunnies you may want to fast forward through the rabbit lady scene.

4. It's pretty depressing.
And you'll never listen to "Wouldn't It Be Nice" the same way again.

6. or that 'jingle bells' with the dogs barking
it really made an impact with me, because my first car was made in Flint just before things went to shit (1987 Chevy Blazer S-10 -- at that time, GM and a lot of other automakers would put VIN decoders in the owner's manual, so i looked it up)

9. That shot of the "For Pets or Food" sign...
...says a lot. Really intense. They say a picture's worth a thousand words. In this case, a picture of just a few words is worth a lot more than that.
