7. I had an ergonomic pocketknife with a similar shape a while back.

I'm sure I've still got it somewhere... unless it's in one of the boxes I had to leave with my parents 'cause I couldn't fit everything in the moving van.

Anyhow, it was rather nifty. Good for cutting open boxes at work. Then I got a job where opening boxes woulda gotten me fired, so I no longer had a reason to carry it around with me. :P

12. Looks like the Forschner with a 5 1/2 inch blade

Nice knife, used one just like it....keeps your wrist straight when de-boning sub-primals from a carcass, less stress on the carpal ligaments and lets you exert more force at the very point of the blade using your whole shoulder movement instead of just your forearm and wrist.


Hold a regular knife in your hand, see how awkward it actually is to perform a slicing movement, and feel the pressure in your wrist.

Now, rotate your hand like you're holding an upright pole and try the same movement.

Much better.
