Let me tell you about my morning, and maybe you'll feel better about yours.
Since I had surgery, I haven't kept up with my dishwashing. So I decided this morning to wash the dishes.
Well, halfway through, the hose that connects to the hot-water side of the faucet came undone and started spraying out from under the cabinets (I'm in a rustic cabin, with no cabinet doors) and into the kitchen and living area...a broad spray about 10' wide and 12' long. STEAMING hot water, because I keep my hot water heater at above 150 degrees. I got burned by the hot water, and was standing there helpless, did not know what to do. So I rushed around, no solution in mind, and finally thought, "Maybe if I hold a towel in front of the spray, it'll at least not wet the electronics in the living area (our kitchen and living room is one huge room combined)."
So I stood there for ten minutes being doused by hot water, holding the towels, until the water got cool enough that I could scramble under the cabinet and turn it off.
After I did so, I took in my living room for the first time since the ordeal began. EVERYTHING drenched, EXCEPT electronics. It looks like the only casualty is my directv remote.
My dad brought a replacement hose, and I hooked it up awhile ago, and everything is ok. I've swabbed up the water (I have pine floor, no carpet, THANK GOD!) and dried everything...but it was a scary, crappy morning for me for about 20 minutes this morning. lol.
I hope your morning goes better than mine! I'm about to go have sushi...to treat myself for fixing the sink.
:hi:
