This is a thread for discussing The Clash
(in-joke from another forum a long time ago)

Why? Because I can post threads, and The Clash is the greatest fucking rock band of all time.

Anyone know why they did a song about Montgomery Clift?

...that Guy Stevens raved about Patricia Bosworth's biography of Clift, and suggested that it was fit subject matter for a song, and Strummer read it and agreed.
