I can't even express with mere words how I feel right now. The regular writing award I expected to at least *place* in, but the Freshman Creative Writing award is really hard to win for poets, because we're competing with all the other creative writing genres.

I just won my first recognition in the world of academia. I am literally weeping for the joy of it at this moment.
