I have neglected MySpace horribly.
I have 200 friends over there, and most of them really are friends. I feel really guilty for having a page I rarely use.

So I'm spending some time over there today. I need to get back in the habit. It really is a useful way to keep in touch with people.

I keep hearing that facebook is even better, but if I can't manage to stay up to date on one social networking site why would I set myself up on two?

If you're over on MySpace, feel free to chastise me for neglecting you. I'm very sorry. :(

2. I have a MySpace page I never check.
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 12:15 PM by ZombieNixon
I just get a bad feeling off of MySpace. I think mostly the fact that it makes people think that they know anything about making a webpage, and thus too many people end up with neon pink text on glittery green backgrounds, 18 embedded movies, and background soundtrack that consists mostly of bad quality clips of 80s Christian Rock. It gives me a headache. x(

I like Facebook much better.

4. I choose my myspace friends carefully to avoid stuff like that.

13. Actually yours is pretty tasteful.
A little decoration, but just enough to keep it interesting without distracting from the content. :)

14. I'm tried to keep it minimal without being plain
:)

There are a lot of elements out there I really like, but I can't figure out how to use them without getting tacky. :silly:

15. Funny, but on my non-music page I used a lined paper motif too.
Of course, I also have stick figures drawn all over said lined paper... :P

16. If you ever find good animated stick figures
please share them with me. That's the type of thing that would look really good on a lined paper web page, but I haven't found very much.

:)

17. I used to draw little stick figure flipbooks on the edge of all of my old textbooks.
Unfortunately I haven't mastered putting them on the computer screen... yet. :P

I'm workin' on it.

7. Yes, but...
Tacky friends will have tacky pages. That doesn't mean they're not good friends. And their tackyness can be one of their endearing qualities!
:loveya:

I should check out facebook some time. When the day comes that I'm out on disability I'll have a lot of time to sit around and socialize online.
:P

11. Writers block is so incredibly frustrating.
:(

I hope you get some creative energy soon. :)

I've been on a music surge recently, listening to everything. I get free CDs occassionally from work because I work at an ad agency, and they get promotional copies of everything.

20. I haven't been to Myspace
that much since we got an email from corporate office that clearly stated: Do not access Myspace from company computers.

That sucked. Someone had clicked on some bad stuff there and got one of our computers filled with viruses so they say.

I have dial up at home so it can be hard to go to.

Thomcat, please add me. Suninvited.

By the way, how many of those 200 are porn chicks that request your friendship without knowing you? I'm tired of those bots.

25. None of them.
Some are off-line friends. Some are my dearest family. Many are DUers that I like. Many are people I've met through a Meetup group that I really enjoy. And a few are cool people that I met through MySpace. :)
