Anyone know what this weed is?

It's sort of carrot-like, but the root is white, and very stringy.

Is it edible? I have it all over my yard. If it's edible, I might eat it.

2. It does! But cilantro doesn't have that thick white root, does it?

3. Here's the image from the wiki:

So it could be a coriander plant. Maybe someone with a greener thumb than I can answer.

4. Looking at it closer, it doesn't have those small forked leaves.
They are longer and more carrot-like.

5. Wild carrot? Poison hemlock?
If you let them grow, do they get white flowers?

15. I had a couple sneak in under shrubs,
and was shocked to see those white flowers sticking out of the row of bushes. I never determined which one I had, carrot or hemlock, but it was a pain getting that carrot like root dug out.

10. Looks like yarrow.
It ran rampant all over my yard one year -- I just mowed it, and it looked better than the actual grass!

The picture's blurry, though, so I can't be sure. Your local Extension office may be able to help.
