Untill I had my cataract surgeries a few weeks ago I was nearsighted. I didn't need glasses for close up vision like reading or changing the remote, only for far vision (and t\it had gotten to where I had double and triple vision so they didn't help too much.
Now I have 20/20 far vision, but can't seee a damn thing close up withoutmy off the shelf reading/magnifying glasses.
I am still getting used to this change and often I'll think "why can't I see the TV" and then realize that I have on my up close glasses. I know it sounds stupid to those of you who are younger (sheesh! I'm getting old!) but i is all very confusing.
So las night I picked up the remote and changed to watch HBO or something and hit the wrong number accidentally. When it all of a sudden changed to Glen Beck. I grabbed the remote real fast but I couldn't see the damn thing! I couldn't find my glasses and I started to panick. Then I realized I had them hanging around my neck. I got couldn't get them on fast enough, so I just hit the on/off button. It was close, but I survived to tell the tale.
