Specifically, in the scene with Luke and Leia on the bridge. Seriously. I can understand Luke and Leia not being all that handy, but the Stormtroopers? :wtf:

Does. Not. Compute.

15. Are you sure you aren't confusing "parsec" with "porrex?"
A porrex, if I recall correctly, is an ancient poetic form invented by George Lucas involving three brazillion stanzas with 17 lines each in which all lines rhyme with Yoda.

7. Part of the cloning procedure...
When they took away their individuality and made them servile and unquestioning, several parsecs* of genetic material were removed. Part of that material involved hand-eye coordination, thereby reducing the clones' ability to bullseye womprats in a T-16 back home.

*A parsec is a unit of genetic material discovered by George Lucas during the filming of Episode IV.

Although, if they were better shots, I suppose that may have ended it all right there. Not so good for the whole trilogy thang. Hm.

24. Unless you're playing Jedi Academy and he's being controlled by the AI...
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 10:19 PM by DarkTirade
then he kinda sucked sometimes.

Seriously, the AI controlled people in the Jedi Knight II games don't pay attention to who's in their line of fire. You're more likely to get shot or hit with a lightsaber by a friend than by an enemy. When I want to take out a group of stormtroopers without doing any work I'll line myself up so that one of them is directly behind another, that way he'll shoot his buddy in the back.

When Jan kept getting in my line of fire. Poor girl got shot right in the back of the head with a fully charged blaster shot. Yes, it was accidental!

26. Yeah, they'll walk right into your line of fire too.
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 10:25 PM by DarkTirade
Or saber swing sometimes.

The really annoying thing was in Academy (and maybe in Outcast too, I haven't played that one as much) if you do too much damage to an ally, every one of the allies will then decide that you're an enemy.

And they do it to the AI controlled characters too. So if you're in a level that's thick with jedi, like the last few levels, pay close attention. Every now and then you'll see a character blunder into another character's saber one time too many... then suddenly every jedi there will turn against that poor AI and kill it.

Worse yet, if they blunder into your saber one too many times... they'll all turn against you. For the entire rest of the level.

Seriously though, the level in the first tier in Jedi Academy that you do with Chewbacca... invariably I end up getting shot in the back by him at least two or three times in that level. Because he'll decide to start shooting at the bad guy that I'm heading for. Without fail.

So he could have just flown right back up to his ship before it left.

But then the movie woulda been 5 minutes long.

And it's the most unintentionally ironic line in the entire series.

But here's a link to the principle:

36. Because otherwise it would be a really short movie...
A related point that always bugs me is when the good guy has a clear shot at the bad guy near the beginning of the movie, but only gives a speech and lets the bad guy walk. Think how much suffering could be avoided if the white hats did more shootin' and less speechifyin'...
