1. to clarify - i want to turn AutoCAD .dwg files in .pdfs
the PDF creators i have will create 11x17s at the largest.

3. If you can save them as .dxf instead...(you might be able to do it from .dwg even)
you can do it with Draw, a program in the OpenOffice.org suite, I think.

I've never had a reason to try, nor do I have any autoCAD files to test this hypothesis. I know it will export to .pdf

It's worth a shot...

I use it with ACAD 2000. I use it to make files for clients to look at on their computer or print out on 8.5" x 11" paper. However, I think you can ask it to print the image on any size of paper.

edit: I have this installed as an optional printer that is listed when I choose the "plot" command.
I just use it to make pdf files. I've not printed one out here at the office. I assume that you could ask the file to be printed out on large sheets ("24 x 36".)
