I gave a reading today

It was part of a "professional writers" workshop involving both college writers and area high schoolers. I worked in science writing for a while, and was kind of hesitant to do this as they've had some highly visible local fiction and poetry folks come through. Plus, even though I teach, just reading stuff makes me nervous. But it went well all around. No nerves and the engagement level was great.

I read an edited version of this 2-part piece on pelicans w/ some occasional powerpoint images to help out.

Since I give readings too (although very different ones!), your thread title caught my eye during my sleeplessness!

And these articles are really interesting...it's wonderful to read how the pelicans have rebounded due to our efforts...
