3. It's not "Tax Day," it's "ENGAGEMENT DAY!"
18 years ago today, Mrs. Rat and I got engaged (married 18 years this October). At the time, I worked for a Big Six Accounting Firm. Today she works for the Department of Taxation. Yes, the jokes pretty much write themselves, so make them as you see fit.

4. Please make sure to sweep Mrs. Rat off her feet one more time.
Not anyone needs a reason to do so with their partner. However, I am sure that doing so on a day that is so meaningful to the both of you, makes it all the more!

5. Funny thing is, I didn't even clue on it being April 15 when I proposed.
I was so focused on the engagement, I had somehow blocked out, "Oh, yeah. This is the time of year when I'm working 80 hours a week!"

We had just finished watching "The Simpsons," and I quickly got the question popped (and the answer I wanted) before "Married, with Children" came on. That was a close one!
