I'll admit when I'm wrong (an American Idol thread)

I absolutely HATED David Cook at the beginning of the season and he creeped me out. Now I have to admit that he's damn good... the best on the show(even though i'm madly in love with Jason Castro ;) ).

David made me actually like a Mariah Carey song last night... I can't stand Mariah Carey.

i loved it. my opinion of him has improved every week, but at the same time he was singing versions of the songs written by other cover artists... this week he did it his own way and it was freaking awesome.

Cook could probably cut a record right now..I love little David (think his voice is amazing) but what is he going to sing? What style is he going to be? I don't really see him as a pop singer or a rocker...I don't know. He has limitations. But he's so darn cute.

but i don't dig his style of singing even though he has a phenomenal voice. he seems to sing the same song over and over week after week.

so it wasn't a big loss for me...I think Carly then Kristi (spell?) need to go first.

I like Brooke too. She doesn't have the best voice but I like her style. I like folky-ish type singers, and she seems like a nice girl.

the guys really blow the girls out of the water this year imo. the kristy lee cook girl should have been sent home ages ago, and carly is singing the same song every night much like little david.

i like brooke too.. she's not my favorite and she definitely doesn't have the best voice on the show, but her singing is more real and pure(which makes it more beautiful than sayish and carly's imo).

i like brooke too... though jason castro is still my favorite. not only is his singing beautiful and pure(he doesn't try to "show off" his voice with crappy broadway type singing like several other contestants) and the type of music that i would actually listen to, but he's gorgeous

Cook was my favorite from the beginning -(I am happy he changed his hair style...) But I have loved him from right out of the gate.

I am no Mariah Carey fan - In fact I couldn't identify any of her songs - I loved Cook again last night and Jason Castro was adorable as always...

here is Idol as I see it now - Carly will be voted off the island after last night. She is a fantastic singer with distracting tattoos all over... she does not play well to the audience.

When will that chick from Oregon, the country gal, Kristy Lee Cook go away? She grates on my nerves... Her flag waiving song "I'm proud to be an American" made me run for the potty and hurl.....

David Cook is my main man.... He will be in the final 2 - who the other will be? I don't know - probably David Archuleta... I like the kid but he is not my personal cup of tea. I like the edginess of David Cook and the almost angelic qualities of Jason Castro - But Archeleta has a wide appeal and the guy really can sing. He is just too saccharine if you know what I mean....

Anyway - Glad you have decided to like David Cook - he is going to be a real recording star at the end of this, win or lose.

He's got the voice, he's got the stage presence, he's got the charisma...he's got it all.

I have a crush on Brooke...but David Cook is going to win this show. No one else is even close to his talent.
