We can't get in to see the specialist until tomorrow!

When I called this morning they told me they did not have any openings until Friday afternoon. I was gentle but firm in asserting that my daughter needs to be seen sooner, since I can't carry her around for 3 days. So we are going tomorrow at 1:30.

In the meantime I am going to call around and see if I can rent some crutches.

We went to a big box store today, because I was going to buy a cheap stroller to get her around in the meantime and as I was wheeling her in using a shopping cart, I ran into an acquaintance of mine, who just happened to have an extra stroller in the trunk of her car. So I did not have to buy one.

I am exhausted, though, from carrying her back and forth to the bathroom, the car, and the store.

5. I think that because of the nature of the fracture, the urgent care was unsure about

how long K will be off her foot, so they probably did not want to charge me the $50 for crutches.

I am digging around to try and get her some rental crutches.

should have some you can rent. or, barring that, you can usually rent a wheelchair for about $1-2 per day.
