Does it bother anyone else that a punctuation mark goes inside a quote at the end of the sentence
even when it's not "part of the quote?"

Doesn't bother me either. :)

and I've heard different versions of when you are supposed to put it inside vs. outside. So, in the end, I use the punctuation the way I like! lol If playing around with punctuation is good enough for e.e. cummings, it's good enough for me... that is what I like to think anyway!! (in reality, his writing garnished respect and mine does not!) :D :hi:
