Caller ID says the number is 916.000.0000
so I can't look it up at www.whocalledme.com. All I know is it's from somewhere around Sacramento.

They've called four times today and once yesterday. Each time, the voice on my answering machine has been different.

All they say is "Hello? Hello?"

:wtf:

7. Sometimes blocked numbers will show the area code but zero out everything else.
Which lead to an interesting story... lemme see if I can find it on the intertubes.

Damn. Can't find it. Anyhow, story I was looking for was one where the cops found a number much like that one as the last call to a cel phone belonging to a murdered drug dealer.

The kid who actually had the 0000 at the end of his number in that area code got picked up by the police and interrogated. He quite honestly didn't know what was going on, and of course insisted that he didn't make that call. They didn't believe him. Finally he offered to go to the cel phone company's website and pull up his call list there to prove it. The cops scoffed at him and told him they'd 'heard that one before'... then when he actually did it they were shocked to see that he HADN'T called the cel phone of the dead drug dealer.

It wasn't until then that they called the phone company to find out why that number may have appeared on the call list, only to find that it meant that the call was from a blocked number.

I called Ford and told them to call off the robo-calls or I would never buy another Ford for as long as I live. They said it isn't them.

Yeah, but ya sold them your client list, didn't ya!

Crickets....
