3. That sounds like my stomach when I have a stomach ulcer
flaring up. I hope you aren't getting one of those. They are painful.

6. Peptic ulcer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peptic_ulcer

Warning: There is a pair of fairly-nasty photos of ulcers at the top of this Wikipedia article.

I doubt you have an ulcer. At your age (18, I think I heard you say in another thread.), they're uncommon; usually seen in people with terrible diets, chain-smokers, high stress individuals, or exposure to H. pylori bacteria in the parts of the world with poor sanitation and water-treatment.

10. There are also some called duodenal ulcers as well.
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 12:51 AM by Jamastiene
You may not have that either, but not everyone who has a stomach ulcer is a lowlife from the dregs of society in this world as implied above. I first got my duodenal ulcer when I was 11 years old, before ever starting smoking at all and I lived in a clean household. :eyes:

In any case, I do hope you start feeling better.

11. Does it make your whole stomach hurt?
My stomach has been hurting for weeks. Certain parts are extra-sensitive, but the whole stomach hurts.

12. Mine always did.
It would hurt more in some areas, but it makes your whole stomach area hurt.

7. Basically, there is a part right above your stomach
in what is known as the gastrointestinal tract, called a duodenum. That would be situated between your esophagus and your stomach. It gets ulcers on it and hurts like crazy. It will make you feel hungry and nauseated at the same time. Usually, it is caused by stress or a steady diet of spicy foods (in some cases).
