I think they've started watering the milk down.
I'm a milk baby. Always have been, always will be. Having been born in the middle of dairy country (there was a grazing field on the other side of my back yard fence for eighteen years) I've had the pure product straight from the tap, so I know what it's SUPPOSED TO taste like.

These days I still drink a gallon every two days, but I limit myself to 2%. I'm used to it, and I know the taste well.

A couple weeks ago my 2% began tasting like Skim milk (basically little more than colored water). And it wasn't just one gallon- I've drank about five gallons of it and it all tastes like I'm getting ripped off.

Perhaps if I switch back to whole milk I'll be getting my 2% back?

I wonder.

2. When I was a kid, milk changed its flavor in the spring
fresh spring pasture grass was the culprit (so we were told)...

9. Oh, yes, I've heard about that theory.
Well, feel free to go for it if it makes you feel better. As for me, I'll continue chuggin' down my moo. I've been doing it almost 53 years and it hasn't infected me with anything yet...

10. It is not a theory; there is pus in all mainstream milk. You can not get "infected" from the pus
since the milk is pasteurized.

The pus comes from infections caused by being hooked up to a milk machine so long and so often.

It's cool, the FDA has a "limit".

11. It's no theory...It's from the mastitis that cows get in their udders
It's in all milk. I grew up on a dairy farm, and my Ex was a milker at another one for several years. Oh, the stories I've heard...No wonder I ordered vegan mozzarella this week.

16. Get your milk @ Braum's. Very good quality milk. Even the fat free has body
and a good taste.

20. GMTA.
I just posted the same thing. I'm from OKlahoma a few miles from the Braum's Dairy. There is nothing like it.
And if you can't find a Braum's, Target's Market Pantry Milk is EXCELLENT.

17. Growing up, I used to drink one gallon of whole milk every day.
Sometimes it went from the cow to the bucket, and from the bucket into me.

Store bought milk never tasted the same. But I still liked it as long as it was whole milk. I never liked the taste of any reduced fat milk.

Then I became alergic to milk. That sucked for a long, long time.

developed from years of hauling those wire crates with two gallon of milk in each hand from the car to the house.

23. I like soymilk
but prefer ricemilk. Often I will buy both and then mix them.

Haven't yet tried cashew milk, but I used to make my own almond milk. It was yummy!

26. Get milk here.

Had one when my kids were growing up. After the milk cooled in a basin all night the layer of cream could actually be griped between thumb and index finger and lifted partially off the milk!
The milk, butter and buttermilk biscuits can't be beat!

Now I drink Helios Plain Kefir and my wife drinks Silk soy and Blue Diamond Almond which I sometimes enjoy too.
